In this vocally and dramatically very demanding part, it was obvious that singing one of her dream roles gave the soprano an inexpressible pleasure. From the very first scene, Aleksandra Kurzak took over the audience's feelings. Sweet and incredibly girlish, charming with her extraordinary beauty, delighting with her technical fluency and timbre, she showed off her full vocal abilities in the captivating love duet with the tenor in the first act. In the farewell scene, she gave an overwhelming poignant performance that allowed the viewer to feel almost physically the emotions tormenting Butterfly. by Magdalena Grzybowska for Opera Lovers.
